EFL Fans Forum

EFL Fans Forum

The EFL Fans Forum was livestream that we produced for the Football League. The programme was streamed from our studio in central London which has a full broadcast standard multi-camera rig and fully brandable set. The format was a debate-style setup with presenter and studio guests. Audience interaction was encouraged throughout with a large number of questions received and put forward to the panel during the broadcast. We produced all the onscreen branding, graphics and titles and worked with the EFL on the scripting and running order.

The brief

The client brief was to produce a 90 minute livestream for the EFL (Football League). Ahead of the 2022/23 season a host of policy measures were adopted to combat dangerous and illegal behaviour by fans at grounds across EFL, FA and PL competitions. This was underpinned by the launch of a joint EFL, Premier League and FA campaign called ‘Love Football. Protect The Game’ in July 2022. To help raise the profile of work in relation to fan behaviour, the EFL asked us to deliver a ‘Fan Summit’, to work with supporters to listen, inform and educate on a range of areas linked to the matchday experience. In order to maximise attendee numbers and mitigate costs of travel, the Fan Summit was to be a virtual event, with a range of panel guests, broadcast virtually to an online supporter audience who would be able to engage throughout the various sessions.
