EFL in the Community showcases the life-changing work delivered by 72 football clubs across the country. Over the course of five days, we captured the unique role these clubs play in their communities. Post-production took around 10 days, during which we fine-tuned the film through edits, grading, and sound design. These clubs are embedded in local life, using football to create positive change and reach diverse groups, including some of the most underrepresented.
The EFL wanted a film to launch their charitable arm, EFL in the Community, showcasing the breadth and depth of the community work undertaken by their 72 clubs. The challenge was to capture the scale of their impact through personal, people-focused stories, while ensuring the film could be updated for future use.
Produced by The Content Works, the film demonstrates how EFL clubs provide much more than football—they are central to their communities, improving physical and mental health, fostering social connections, and enhancing employability. Through powerful storytelling, we highlighted the EFL’s national reach and the diversity of the people their work supports.
